Roofing Before & After in Fort Lauderdale, FL
Any roofing company can tell you they do clean work. Seeing it is different. These are real projects our Fort Lauderdale crews have handled: the water-stained ceiling, the missing shingles after a squall, the roof that failed inspection on a home sale. We document every job with before and after photos so you can see what changed and why it matters. This is the work we actually do in Broward County, from Victoria Park to Coral Ridge.

Storm-Damaged Shingle Roof Replacement in Poinsettia Heights
The problem: A line of late-summer thunderstorms peeled back shingles along the rake edge, exposing the underlayment and letting water run into the soffit. The homeowner didn’t know until a drip showed up in the laundry room, which is the usual story in Fort Lauderdale: the leak starts small and travels. What we did: A full tear-off down to the decking. We replaced two sheets of water-damaged plywood, installed new synthetic underlayment, new drip edge, and a full GAF Timberline HDZ system with new flashing at every penetration. The result: A roof that’ll handle the next decade of South Florida squalls, and an attic that finally stays dry. Written price before we started, as always.
Tile-to-Shingle Conversion for a 1960s Ranch in Riverland
The problem: The original barrel tile had done its job for sixty years and wasn’t coming back. Cracks, spalling, and a discontinued profile meant repairs were a matching game nobody could win. The decking underneath had sagged in two spots. What we did: Full tile removal, re-decking where the plywood had given up, and a conversion to Owens Corning Duration shingles in a color that actually reads better on the house than the old tile did. We brought the roof up to current code for fastener count and secondary water barrier. The result: Lighter load on the framing, better curb appeal, and a roof that can be repaired normally if a branch ever comes through it.
Flat Roof Leak Repair on a Low-Slope Addition in Sailboat Bend
The problem: The flat roof over a back porch addition had been patched three times by three different people, and it still leaked at the transition seam. The flashing was original, it was the wrong type, and the membrane had pulled away from the parapet wall. In Fort Lauderdale, that’s a mold invitation. What we did: Cut back the failed section, replaced the rotted edge of the decking, installed new transition flashing, and heat-welded a reinforced TPO patch that ties the flat section into the shingle slope properly. The result: Dry porch during the next rainy season. That repair carries our written guarantee, and if it failed within a year, the second visit is already covered.
Roof Rejuvenation Before a Home Sale in Wilton Manors
The problem: The seller’s inspection report had flagged granule loss, curling shingle tabs, and a rusted-out pipe boot. Not a total loss, but enough to scare a buyer. What we did: A complete re-roof with CertainTeed Landmark shingles in a neutral driftwood color, new lead pipe boots, new ridge vent, and resealed flashing at the chimney. We matched the existing color closely enough that the neighbors probably never noticed the house changed. The result: The deal closed on time. The seller paid our written price, which included the permit and the final inspection, and the buyer moved in without a single roof contingency left on the table.
Flashing and Valley Repair After a Persistent Ceiling Stain in Sunrise Key
The problem: A ceiling stain that kept coming back. A roofer had sealed the valley twice, but the real issue was step flashing along the sidewall that had been installed with nails through the wrong face, and water was running behind it. Fort Lauderdale’s wind-driven rain finds every shortcut. What we did: Removed the shingles in the valley and along the wall, replaced the step flashing correctly, installed new woven valley shingles with ice-and-water barrier underneath, and re-seated the wall siding. The result: The stain is gone and it hasn’t come back through two full rainy seasons. Grant walked the roof with the homeowner and showed them exactly what was wrong before we touched anything.
Garage Flat-Roof Replacement After a Condensation Problem Turned Structural
The problem: The garage roof was old mod-bit that had blistered and cracked, and the garage door headers below had started to rot from the humidity working its way down. In a Fort Lauderdale garage, that’s not just a roof issue, it’s a framing issue. What we did: Sheared to the deck, found the rot, replaced two sections of framing, laid new OSB decking, and installed a mechanically fastened TPO membrane with new edge metal. The result: The garage is dry, the door opens without groaning, and the homeowner uses it as a workshop now without a ceiling stain in sight.
Want Results Like These?
Every project above started the same way: a phone call to (754) 354-1224 and a free written estimate so the homeowner knew the exact price before we touched the roof. A live person answers, day or night, not a call-back service. We’ll send a background-checked technician in a marked uniform who badges in at the door, and you’ll know their name before they arrive.
